Corrections
Accuracy includes correcting mistakes. If a Military Ledger article contains a factual error, please identify the passage and the evidence that supports a correction through our contact channel.
What to include
Send the article link, its language edition and a short explanation of the issue. Quote the relevant sentence or identify the image or caption. If possible, include a primary document, an original statement or another source that helps establish the correct information.
For a translation concern, explain which word or passage changes the meaning. A link to the English source edition and a suggested rendering can help the reviewer understand the difference.
Please avoid sending unnecessary personal information or material you do not have permission to share. This channel is not an emergency service or a promise of confidential communication.
How a correction will be handled
The review will compare the reported problem with the article and its supporting evidence. A request to change a conclusion is not automatically evidence of a factual error, but relevant new information should be considered.
When a substantive error is confirmed, the affected article will carry a dated note explaining what changed. Related translations, headlines, summaries and captions will also be checked for the same issue.
New information can require an update even when the original report was accurate at the time. That distinction will be made clear. Routine spelling or formatting changes need not be described as substantive factual corrections.
No fixed response time is promised. The aim is a clear resolution supported by the evidence. For the broader approach, read our editorial standards.
